also in summer but also in the summer months. At a height of 3,029 m (9,938 ft),
you'll find summer skiing finest pistes. There are ski schools for children and
adults, cross country skiing, as well as ski huts for après-ski.

All the best walking routes are clearly marked as in the picture below. Take a beautiful winter walk along the trails through Kaprun including a short walk to Piesendorf.
Winter Hiking
A wide-spread network of trails all have cafés, inns, and mountain huts at the side of the official routes. There are guided winter walks on Wednesdays and snow-shoe hikes on Thursdays. When hiking on your own you should strictly stick to the marked routes. Sturdy footwear and winter-proof clothing are a must. You can take the Sonnkogelbahn or Areitbahn cable cars to go on a hike at Schmittenhöhe.
