Winter Hiking
A wide-spread network of trails all have cafés, inns, and mountain huts at the side of the official routes. There are guided winter walks on Wednesdays and snow-shoe hikes on Thursdays. When hiking on your own you should strictly stick to the marked routes. Sturdy footwear and winter-proof clothing are a must. You can take the Sonnkogelbahn or Areitbahn cable cars to go on a hike at Schmittenhöhe.
